CDC Advise:

Cloth face coverings should not be placed on young children under age 2, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.

Cloth face coverings are recommended are not surgical masks or N-95 respirators.  Those are critical supplies that must continue to be reserved for healthcare workers and other medical first responders, as recommended by current CDC guidance.

Prepare

Wash your hands and your child’s hands, make sure your child’s face is clean. Take the mask out of the bag while only touching the outside of the mask. Loosen the Cord Stop until the end of the webbing.

Step 1

Grab the loop End with the Cord Stop with the outer side of the mask facing your child and the inside of the mask facing away from your child, and place it around their neck like a necklace.

Step 2

Take the Other Loop End and pull it up and over their head, placing the band above their ears and then tighten the cord stop so that the mask fits snugly yet comfortably, at a height on their head that allows the mask to seal around the nose/eye area without slipping down the face.
